What is Shahid Afridi’s all time World Cup XI ?

Shahid Afridi picked his all time World Cup XI, strangely there is no Sachin Tendulkar in his lineup.

No Sachin Tendulkar means there must be some one who would be a better choice to play in the mega event, but if we look at the openers there are Saeed Anwar and Adam Gilchrist in his lineup as openers while if we see performance between Saeed Anwar and Sachin Tendulkar then we may choose Saeed Anwar because of his performances that he has put in.

If we look at Adam Gilchrist, he isn’t that good as compare to Sachin Tendulkar in batting as opener but he has gloves as well, he will keep the wickets for Shahid Afridi’s XI as well so there is no place for Sachin Tendulkar.

Here comes the most successful captain in the history the world cups, Ricky Ponting comes into bat at 3 for his team alongside the only Indian batsman Virat Kohli in his lineup. Ricky Ponting has been tremendous in all world cups while Virat Kohli has good performance at this level. He has got scores as well.

Inzamam ul Haq is the second Pakistani batsman in this lineup, although there are some Bowlers as well, but most importantly there isn’t Waqar Younis in his XI due to his performance in the mega events. He has got no place while there are 3 other Pakistani bowlers in his lineup.

Jacques Kallis also in his lineup as pure allrounder, he will bowl for him as well will bat for him. He has picked the legendary cricketer due to his performance and his name is also bigger than many.

Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Glen McGrath are main fast bowlers who will be led by Wasim Akram himself while there are Shane Warne and Saqlain Mushtaq as well.

There are 5 batsmen in his lineup, 5 bowlers and 1 an allrounder. Picking such team only could be done by Shahid Afridi who has been in great touch. Although he has left the international cricket way back some years ago for Pakistan however he played last match for ICC in 2018.
