Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to be included in Pakistan’s T20 squad that will face Bangladesh in late January, sources claimed.
Sarfaraz Ahmed has been called up for fitness tests in the first week of January along with other members of the team. Sarfaraz was sacked as Pakistan captain from all formats after the drubbing against Sri Lanka in the T20 series at home in October. He was also removed from the team in a bid to make him regain his lost form and confidence with the bat.
With Pakistan looking to shape their squad for the T20 World Cup next year, Sarfaraz Ahmed will be a crucial element of the squad not only as a player but also as a support to Babar Azam who is still very young as captain.
