Ajinkya Rahane, the India’s most successful no.4 batsman just like Pakistani Asad Shafiq says I’m ready to make an other comeback in ODI cricket after missing some years in this format for team India.
Ajinkya Rahane looks so so passionate about his chance, although he doesn’t know when the chance will arrive but he is super ready to make his comeback. It’s been more than 2 years when Ajinkya Rahane played last ODI match for India but he is the regular member of Indian Test team.
Ajinkya Rahane has been looking at his chance, what ever the number is given to him, he will just play and make the most of his chance this time, despite wonderful performances in 2016 and 2017, Ajinkya Rahane was dropped from the side as they had Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma at opening slot.
“It doesn’t matter if team gives me opening or no.4 in ODIs, I just want to say that I’m ready to make a comeback,” Rahane said. He also have said that he isn’t sure about when the chance will arrive but he is ready. He is making his mark to the international cricket especially in ODI cricket because he is already settled in Test.
“I have batter at 4, also have opened the innings for India, so I have can bat everywhere,” he added. Rahane had played wonderful innings against Australia when he scored 4 half centuries straightaway in 4 matches while he also scored one an other half century in next match but it was against South Africa in first ODI.
Despite such performance, it is interesting to see Ajinkya Rahane hadn’t got any place in the team specially when Indian needed no.4 Batsman and they missed it in mega event of 2019.
