Best Test XI of the Year 2019

Written by SKRN News Staff

It was total dominance from the fast bowlers in this year 2019 so many openers including David Warner, Azhar Ali failed so badly to perform except in few innings.

So picking openers will be very hard and so difficult to choose among all nations still we have tried our best to make perfect combination with available openers in the game of cricket.

Our first pick is Indian Mayank Agarwal who had tremendous year as test player alongside Tom Latham who had average year though but better than others’. So them will open the innings in our XI.

At no.3 our pick is so obvious and so easy to pick as Marnus Labuschagne didn’t take anything much more than taking his game on the top of the world with brilliant summer at his home with tremendous runs in Ashes. He has already scored 11 scores of 50+ in just 14 Test matches so picking him was easiest thing we could do.

Babar Azam is our 2 down player, it was the competition between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli but looking at their performances we can’t take anything away from the modern great Babar Azam, he scored 616 runs in 11 innings, while 8 of his innings were played outside home. Virat Kohli scored 612 runs in same innings with just 2 innings outside the home. After looking at some these fact our pick stay at Babar Azam.

Other at 5 is our modern legend Steve Smith, he had also scored many runs even after coming back after serving one year ban. Still he scored heavy runs and cement his place in our team. Ben Stokes is our main all-arounder here who had tremendous year with bat and bowl, he single handedly won a game against Australia in Ashes while chasing 76 runs with last wicket in hand. He scored match winning 135* runs.

BJ Watling is our Wicketkeeper-Batsman who had best year with bat and gloves, better than all present wicketkeepers so picking him was also easy, although people will choose their favourites but it isn’t based on favouritism.

Pat Cummins will lead our pace attack alongside Mohammad Shami and Neil Wagner who had brilliant year, they all performed brilliantly and made their names among best of nowadays’.

Nathan Lyon is our spin bowler, without any doubt and hesitation, his services for Australia have got them on the top, on any surface, his performance took them away from any struggle and difficulties.
